Its seems we all survived the blizzard of 2010!!! We hope it waits another 118 years before we see that again. With just three months left to this school year, we still have many issues to cover. The 2011 budget is looking worse then 2010 as we figured. So its time for all of us to decide what we are going to do. We need participation from everyone if we want anything to change. (OMG I do believe we have said this before) Its time we take a stand and let the County know our thoughts and concerns. HOWEVER THE THREE OF US CAN NOT DO THIS ALONE!!!!!!!!! Our next meeting is March 25th same place same time. If anyone out there wants to try and make a difference on how things are happening please take the time to show up. Hope to see you all there!!!!
Hey everyone we know long time no hear!! Next meeting is set for March 25th at the library 6-7:30pm. Hope everyone is enjoying all this white stuff! We are sorry to say we still have not heard any news on our request. As soon as we hear anything we will let you all know. We are in hopes that our news paprer articals made some sort of an impact. We would like to express one more time, if our membership does not make a huge turn around we will not have a leg to stand on. From the participation we have gotten in the past three years we can only assume that all are happy with what we have, or what is to come. Yup its been three years!! And Nominations will be held at the November meeting. If our participation and membership does not make a huge turn around prior to then we will not be available for re-election. We feel we have given 100% while in office and not recieved 100% in return. We have attempted to have fund-raisers, appease the southern end drivers, make an effort to donate to the county, and most of all let the county no we have a say, all to no avail. We do want to say thanks to all our regulars that show up to every meeting and hope that the turn around we are asking for happens.
OH YA did we all see that we have been shown love from the school system???? If not check out Fridays Recorder.
Again we say its ALWAYS better to be late than not make it at all!!!

Hey Hey;
Well we are 5 months in to this year and things do not seem to be getting any easier!! The meeting on November 30th went very well. Still wish
more of you would take the time to attend. Its 1 1/2 hours of your time every other month. We need to know whats on your mind and your opinions. So we hope to see you at the next meeting!! We have sent the revised letter to the Recorder-Enterprise-independant and the Post. We had another issue to come up after the meeting that we deemed important enough to place in the letter. We have posted the revised letter under Issues and Concerns and also posted the last meeting minutes.
As the winter weather nears us remember to take your time! It is always better to be a bit late then not make it at all.
Hello Everyone,
As many of you know we received a correspondence on our letter sent to them. We will have it available at the November 30th meeting. We have drafted a letter to the paper about our concerns on where the Board is cutting budget monies and will be discussing it at the meeting. A copy of this letter is posted under Issues and concerns tab. We are is hopes we will have some information on what came of our request also. These are just a few things we will be discussing at the meeting so we hope to see you there. If you have any thing you would like to discuss or add to the agenda for this meeting please let us know.
Hello Again!!!!
To say the least the special meeting held on the 13th was very disappointing,but moving on we have posted the revised letter sent to Ms. McCourt. We are in hopes she will take our concerns and request into consideration for this years budget. As you will notice in our revised letter we removed the word demands to request and removed the special trip form implementation. After talking to the Contractors we have decided to start the Just Say No Program. It seems the Contrators have never given us the ok to either reroute to pick up a child that missed the bus or return a lunch, instrument etc. so starting now we will just say no!! AND PLEASE drivers do not offer to pick a child up that is not on your route or offer to take a lunch or instrument to a school in your own vehical this depletes our point. We hear this alot on the radio. The Contractors made it clear that they prefer us not to make any unnecessary changes to our routes. And the fact that we work for them and not the BOE should be reason enough.
Note: The November meeting will have to be rescheduled not only do to training class but the Library has a special speaker coming in that evening. We will let everyone now of the new date and time as soon as possible. Also as our membership is slowly moving up we still need everyones support on implementing the JUST SAY NO PROGRAM even if you choose not to join the association we need your cooperation in our efforts. How ever we would have more of an impact with a stronger asscociation.
Hello everyone!!
Just a short note to catch you up, we met with the contractors last night. It was an informational, interesting and productive meeting. They have agreed to our request and will be submitting them with their proposed budget to the BOE. However they are pretty sure that most if not all will be denied. We agreed to for now to stay under the Classified Employees since the have a bargain unit, and requested this all be in writing. So this brings us back to the membership issues. We are getting stronger everyday but still way short of what we need to fight this cause. We have scheduled a Special meeting for the Southern end Drivers on October 13, 2009 6pm-7pm at the Southern Community Center. We hope to see you all there. As always if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us. We have added an interesting web-site below take the time to check it out!!!!
